Le Mans Ultimate gets June update and a new car

Motorsport Games and Studio 397 finally show the fruits of their motions to include the FIA WEC 2024 content in Le Mans Ultimate, and also included a multitude of features, updates and corrections to give a more solid state to the sportscar sim racing title, putting it a step closer to leave its Early Access state.

The content that starts the 2024 WEC portfolio is the already well known BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh to the Hypercar class as a free DLC. While the IMSA operation run by BMW Team RLL has a good year of competitive mileage, the FIA WEC operation from BMW M Team WRT debuted this year and will go to its 24 Hours of Le Mans debut, and during the time not only LMU, but also iRacing, Automobilista 2 and Rennsport were the titles where the M Hybrid V8 was included.

In terms of features, the most striking ones are the radar and visual indications for the start procedure, as those will help massively in terms of track awareness, giving more organized races as a result. To properly watch the moments you will create on track, a Replay function was fully included with the whole UI in the sessions and a menu option outside of them, and to know who's who on track, driver labels were included too.

The netcode was revised to offer more consistent scenarios in online racing, in special during close racing where the arguments come in the event of a contact.

To add those not so versed or not to fussed in tinkering with car setups, the car setup screen will have the LMU preset, which should go on the safe side, and David Perel’s Coach Dave Academy preset, which is for those seeking the best performance possible. Perel has tons of mileage at Le Mans and he counts with experienced sim racers to help in the process, since CDA’ presets will be tailored to each car, initially with Hypercars but eventually exteding to the other classes and to the unique 2024 content.

Since the whole changelog is incredibly long due to revisions in other aspects, especially in physics and graphic models, you can check the whole text in the Le Mans Ultimate website, and since it's still in Early Access, LMU will remain PC exclusive for the time being.
