Team DAISHIN/GTNET joins Japan Cup at Fuji

We barely moved from the first round of the FANATEC Japan Cup and the series gains an extra entry for the next round at Fuji Speedway on 22 and 23 June, as well known names from Super GT and Super Taikyu join the grid.

GTNET Motorsports returns to SRO competitions with an example of the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 under the Team DAISHIN/GTNET banner for the family lineup composed by Nobuyuki and Ryuichiro Oyagi, as the famous Super GT team keeps the partnership rolling with the Super Taikyu experts. The whole combo has lots of mileage at Fuji due to their participation at the Fuji SUPERTEC 24 Hours, with GTNET's GT-R and Nobuyuki Oyagi being part of the winning effort at the 2021 edition.

GTNET campaigned a single GT-R in the Intercontinental GT Challenge at the 2019 Suzuka 10 Hours, finishing in 22nd overall, but at least the team has some mileage in international competitions, which will be helpful as multiple teams in GTWC Asia and in the Japan Cup came from Super Taikyu, like 5ZIGEN Racing, D'Station Racing, Porsche Center Okazaki and ABSSA Racing.

At the moment the list for Fuji has 17 entries with 8 GT3s onboard, with a quarter of the grid being formed by Nissan GT-Rs as DAISHIN/GTNET joins RunUp Sports.
