Blancpain Sprint Series entry list revealed

With only a week left for the Blancpain Sprint Series official test days at Misano, SRO already published the list of full season entries for 2015, which will feature 21 cars, as the sprint race championship receives the same contenders as well some new teams.

The 2014 Pro Cup champions of HTP Motorsport will be back in double as always, but now equipped with the new and proven Bentley Continental GT3. The always favorites of Belgian Audi Club Team WRT will bring four Audi R8 LMS Ultras as in 2014, with the change the past Silver Cup entry will be in Pro Cup. Phoenix Racing will reduce its operation to a single Audi, and BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil will bring their pair of BMW Z4s.

Some teams that made one-off entries in the past or were commited only to the Blancpain Endurance Series will appear full time this year, as in the case of MRS-GT, now with a Nissan GT-R replacing the McLaren 12C, as well Reiter Engineering with two new Lamborghini Gallardo Extensos, and Attempro Racing with two McLaren 12Cs, ISR with two Audis, GT Russian Team with a Mercedes SLS and Rinaldi Racing with the only Ferrari in the competition.

None of the Pro-Am Cup entrants of 2014 is present, and at the moment GT Russian Team will use a Mercedes SLS and Fach Auto Tech will be the only Porsche full season user. The Silver Cup, aimed to young drivers, has a single Fortec Motorsports-run Mercedes SLS in the list.

It is expected that some one-off entries appear race by race to boost the grids, as it happened in the last seasons, and guaranteed full house in the Baku World Challenge last year.
