Despite the Sunday at the Estering being close to a disaster on track, Oliver Eriksson just did enough to win the RallyX North title, leaving the celebrations on track to Lukas Andersson, as the JC Raceteknik driver did a much better job on Sunday (09) and won with authority the final round of the season.
Lukas Andersson had a much better Sunday in terms of Qualifying, winning all heats to be the top qualifier with ease, mostly being protected by his JC Raceteknik team mate Mats Öhman. René Münnich was the third best despite a retirement in Q3, and Oliver Eriksson was way down the order as he was quite the trouble magnet, but this gap between him and Andersson wouldn’t matter, because once he finished his Q3 run, Eriksson was declared RallyX North champion as the gap was too big to be reached with the points left on offer.
Viktor Kristensson was more tidy with his approach in the final phase and was able to win the Open 4WD Pro-Am Final by a mere 0.155 seconds over René Münnich, but the German would conquer the Supercar Final by a wide margin once Mats Öhman oversteered to a spin.
In the FC2 Final, Emil Naessen and Tobias Daarbak stopped with damage from contact before the first corner, while Lukas Andersson was leading with a decent margin to Romet Tsirna, who held and frustrated Viktor Kristensson as they choose the same lap to go to the Joker. With no threats on his vicinity, Lukas Andersson even had the leeway to finish the race totally sideways as a way to celebrate his win, with Tsirna and Kristensson completing the podium.
RallyX Estering II - Event results
Eriksson finished the season with 221 points over the 207 of Andersson and 184 of Tsirna, while Daarbak was fourth with 148 points and Naessen had 110.
