Hansen wins Trois-Rivières finale as Hallman secures RallyX Americas title

Timmy Hansen ended his debut season in the FC1 on a high note, winning the final event of the RallyX Americas season as it crossed the border to go to Trois-Rivières in Canada, but Tommi Hallman’s second place finish was more than enough for the Finnish with ties to sim racing to beat the rallycross veterans and secure the title.
 
Semifinal 1 had Timmy Hansen keeping the advantage from the inside and outpacing Kevin Eriksson in the early run. While Oliver Eriksson opted for the Joker as he couldn’t catch the top 2, Kevin Eriksson kept the chase until he decided it was the best to Joker. Despite the single lap of difference between Hansen’s Joker and Kevin Eriksson’s, the strategy did no good to Eriksson’s cause in the bid for the win, settling for second while Timmy Hansen controlled the rest of the race.
 
Semifinal 2 had only three cars, so it would be more for position in the Final than anything else, but Tommi Hallman and Robin Larsson didn’t play it safe, had their fender barge and Larsson spun, throwing Larsson behind Tanner Foust. While Hallman had a clean path to the finish and won the race, Foust defended the second position as hard as possible, holding Robin Larsson in third until the finish.
 
Hansen and Hallman had the front row in the Final, and they held the field despite a late attempt from Kevin Eriksson, though this opened the door for Robin Larsson to go to second. With Larsson busy holding Hallman, Hansen had freedom to put his pace and open the gap, helped by the fact that Hallman decided to attack and took the second place from Larsson.
 
Only the top 3 had the Joker to do in the final lap, and with this scenario, Hansen never got threats on his back, with Hallman securing second place and Larsson barely holding third from the Erikssons.

The battle in the Hypercar class was quite close, with Hallman scoring 120 points while Larsson was just there with 119 and Kevin Eriksson’s 112 points indicated he could have had a shot too. Even Oliver Eriksson wasn’t so far from the battle with his 108 points, with the same being said to Timmy Hansen and his 107 points.
 
Apparently, the RallyX Americas Invitational at Crandon is still in the schedule for 5 September, but the next stop in the calendar will be the RallyX Global Final at Montalegre on 24 October.
