There’s Greece and more in Assetto Corsa Rally 0.5

Just like the chorus in Livin’ On A Prayer, Assetto Corsa Rally is halfway there, with a new rally to bring the tally to four and a snow playground, but the newest version of the simulator is marked for what Supernova Games Studios incorporated under the hood and under the surface.

The Rally Greece brings 22km of dry gravel and hill climbing stages in two different sections that have very peculiar characteristics. While Elatia offers wide stages and considerable time on full speed or close to it, Loutraki appears with narrow and more technical sections, with multiple changes of direction in a row, along with moments of steep climbing and banking, and with the edges of the cliffs being closer than you think, and unlike Elatia, where bushes tend to stop your moments of skill issue, Loutraki’s trees will leave your car with either less fenders or with a hanging door.

The new rally also brought new events, and not only this, but AC Rally incorporates the first phase of multiplayer rallying, with either official or custom lobbies and single stage events to try over the week.

While practically all parts of AC Rally suffered changes in the version 0.5, what stands out the most appears in Greece and in Wales, as the gravel bulldozing effect changes completely the way to drive in the sim, with the contact with the tires gripping more and the car slowing down as they dig the gravel in a slide, ending with the constant slide that marked everything before the newest version. Changes in surface detection and how the tires interact with each surface come as a full combo to make the bulldozing effect possible, and while not using the new effects, other surfaces like asphalt and snow make use of these new surface interaction calculations.

With the focus being under the surface instead of content inclusion, the changelog is at KUNOS Simulazioni levels of length, so if you want to get the details or give a full read of it, Assetto Corsa Rally’s Steam Page has it.
