While the total of the grid doesn’t hit the Endurance Cup level, the entry list for the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup shows a respectable number of 45 cars, almost evenly distributed across all classes.
Unlike the Endurance Cup, Porsche will be the manufacturer with more cars in the Sprint Cup grid, with nine in total and present in all classes. After them, Ferrari has eight, Mercedes has seven and BMW has six cars, with Mercedes and BMW only missing the Gold Cup for full presence. Five Aston Martins will be present, while Audi and McLaren will have four cars each and Lamborghini will be at the bottom of the pile with only two cars, which is a reflex of the ongoing run to deliver the orders of the new Temerario GT3.
For the Pro Cup, 15 cars will be present, with the highlight being the return of Valentino Rossi to GTWC Europe as WRT goes back to their massive efforts, with three M4 GT3 Evos, while almost all teams in the class apart from Emil Frey Racing may suffer with the deficit in number of cars despite the depth in driver talent.
The Gold Cup appears with the fewest number of cars in the Sprint Cup too, with six cars in total, and out of all manufacturers in the class, only McLaren is fielding more than one car, courtesy of Garage 59 and CSA Racing.
For the Silver Cup, 13 cars were confirmed, with Porsche and Aston Martin standing out in the numbers with three cars each across teams like PURE Rxcing, Comtoyou, Walkenhorst Motorsport and Dinamic GT.
11 cars appear in the Bronze Cup list, with Mercedes and Porsche having the biggest number with three cars, while only Ferrari has two cars and Audi, BMW and Aston Martin will be on single car programs.
Unlike the Endurance Cup, there will be no Ford Mustang GT3 Evo or Corvette Z06 GT3.R as HRT and Steller Motorsport staying out of the hour long races. HRT scales back the program and focuses on long distance racing, while Steller chose the long races way before the new year, not coming back to the Sprint Cup after a short part-time effort.
The Sprint Cup keeps the start in early May as Brands Hatch opens the season again on the 2nd and 3rd.
