The weekend of RallyX North series at Nysum saw the weather being totally inconsistent and the FirstCorner FC2s looking as competitive as the supercars, with major benefits going to the winner Casper Jansson, who scored his first win in the season and in a top rallycross spec.
With rain appearing in sparse moments during the Qualifying, the track was damp at best, with grip being a luxury, which induced the drives to mistakes here and there, opening the way for Viktor Vranckx to top the table, while Ulrik Linnemann demonstrated his high pace with the second place, while Fraser McConnell was the best of the FC2s, which were demonstrating better handling than any of the previous rounds.
Semifinal 1 had everybody sideways into the first corner, which benefited McConnell despite Vranckx being all over him and Oliver Eriksson being on the chase of them both. A mistake under rotation took Vranckx out of contention, leaving Eriksson alone to decide what he would with McConnell and with Filip Thorén and Elias Svensson behind him. In the final lap, Eriksson was under threat but held the second place from Thorén while McConnell went straight to the win.
In Semifinal 2, Linnemann took first place from the inside of Maiko Tamm, who opted for an early Joker to do the undercut. Casper Jansson chose to mark Linnemann while Filip Martinsson was following them, Driveshaft problems took Tamm out of contention, while the high pace from Linnemann pulled Jansson and Martinsson with him, while Tamm and Hans-Joran Ostreng had a contact and handed the three Final spots to those ahead of them.
A massive storm fell in between the Finals, with the Open 4WD Final being held with a soaked well. McConnell lost time at the start and Jansson took the top spot, with Eriksson in second and McConnell recovering lost ground against Linnemann. Eventually, the lead battle was down to Jansson versus Eriksson, with Jansson holding position under tricky conditions until the finish line.

Until the Sunday event starts, Tamm leads the championship with 134 points over 124 from Linnemann, while Martinsson still can dream with the title with his 106 points.
