Motorcar dominates the Saturday at Goiânia

Unlike the disaster caused by a blown tire on Friday (09), Motorcar Racing did everything perfectly in the second race of the Império Endurance Brasil double header at Goiânia, with the No. 444 JLM Racing AJR of Vicente Orige and Sarim Carlesso not putting a wheel wrong during the whole three hours.

No. 444 Motorcar AJR and the No. 12 Tech Force Sigma in front again, but a stopped No. 42 Foresti Sport Ligier delayed the procedures, but this and the cloud sky above the competitors weren’t the only differences to Friday, as the No. 12 was spun around on Lap 1 by the No. 9 AMattheis Ligier while the No. 444 went for the same strategy applied in Round 4.

The second hour had the sun breaking through the cloud cover and temperatures rising, which would put the competitors back into conservative runs for the final half of racing, but the No. 444 wasn’t lifting off, consolidating the huge lead over the No. 35 TMG AJR while the No. 9 AMattheis Ligier dropped to third.

With the No. 35 spending the whole last hour entertained defending from the No. 9 and then stopping to have fuel to finish, there was no threat in sight for the No. 444 Motorcar AJR, completing the masterclass job done during the whole race.

Full results to come

The GT3 class had the No. 27 Team RC Mercedes in control as the No. 55 Stuttgart Porsche had to deal with the No. 8 Team RC Mercedes, and the GT4 class was dominated again by the No. 21 Stuttgart Porsche. The championship goes to a full month break and returns to action at Interlagos on 1 September.
