It was a DXDT show at Road America

The incredible form that DXDT Racing is showing in the FANATEC GT World Challenge America had a new chapter under unstable weather at Road America, where not only the No. 63 Corvette Z06 GT3.R of Tommy Milner and Alec Udell swept the whole weekend but also the Pro-Am Cup entered No. 08 Corvette of Bryan Sellers and Bryson Morris showed a more competitive performance despite getting only one of the class wins of this round.

The road for Race 1 was drying but some sketchy points were clearly visible as they were either damp or fully wet, and the battle between Alec Udell and Bill Auberlen stood in favor of the No. 63 DXDT Corvette while the approaching No. 99 Random Vandals BMW was spin out and collected the No. 08 DXDT Corvette in the process, so the Safety Car joined the track.

The No. 28 ST Racing BMW relinquished the second place to serve the drive through penalty immediately, but then the No. 93 Racers Edge Acura was the one pressing the No. 63, and to add more problems to Udell, Philip Ellis was closing down the gap and the No. 91 Regulator Mercedes would become another car in the melee.

With nearly 30 minutes of racing, Luca Mars takes the opportunity as Udell backed off due to traffic ahead and the No. 93 became the new leader of the race, although still having the No. 63 and the No. 91 at its back, with Ellis finding the way past Udell due to more traffic.

A problem with the seat in the No. 93 slowed their pit stop, which handed the lead back to the No. 63, and with Jeff Burton being unable to carry the No. 91 at the same pace as Ellis, Zach Veach brought the No. 93 to second.

With nearly 10 minutes to go, the No. 28 stops on track, the Safety Car is called and the race is open again with 5 minutes to go. Veach follows Milner's slipstream and brings Elliott Skeet with his No. 120 Wright Porsche to the party, but none of them find room to attack the leader. In the end, the No. 93 Racers Edge Acura lost contact to defend from the No. 120 Wright Porsche, giving the win to the No. 63 DXDT Corvette.

With Jeff Burton really slow and making a crucial mistake in the final minutes, the No. 29 Turner BMW got the Pro-Am Cup win, while the No. 19 Esses Racing Mercedes had no opposition around to win the Am Cup, sometimes staying within reach of an overall top-5 finish.

The No. 29 Turner BMW was the on pole and leading when the Race 2 started while the No. 120 Wright Porsche took the second place from the No. 63 DXDT Corvette, with the field soon adjusting to their positions while making the occasional moves for position.

With the pace being too similar between the frontrunners, DXDT called the No. 63 to an early stop, and the team took the spoils as their two cars were leading overall and in the Pro Cup and Pro-Am Cup due to a pucture in the No. 29, while the No. 120 of Adam Adelson had Samantha Tan on a quest to find room to pass and put the No. 38 ST Racing BMW in third overall.

With the No. 120 too busy defending to make an offensive move, the DXDT Corvettes controlled really well the second half of racing, with the No. 63 winning comfortably overall and the No. 08 conquering Pro-Am Cup honors in the team’s 1-2 finish, while the No. 163 AF Corse Ferrari got Am Cup honors against the No. 19 Esses Racing Mercedes.
