Le Mans Ultimate brings more 2024 hypercars

Little by little, Motorsport Games and Studio 397 are bringing the 2024 FIA WEC grid to Le Mans Ultimate, with Lamborghini Iron Lynx and Peugeot Sport following what was started by the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh, and with the new hypercars, a new venue was brought in.

Talking about the cars, the new entry comes in the form of the Lamborghini SC63 LMDh, which was the expected next step after so many years working in GT3 and in the single make Super Trofeo spec, and combining the expertise at Sant’Agata Bolognese and Ligier, a car with the most characteristic trademarks from the manufacturer was born despite the base being the Ligier JS P217, all of this with the LMDh spec hybrid system from Bosch and a 3.8 litre V8 engine that is a departure from the usual choices of V10s and even V12s that are part of what makes Lamborghini what it is.

The other car of the DLC Pack 1 is actually a current entry with an overhaul, as the 2024 version of the Peugeot 9X8 is more than “In the end, we needed a rear wing”, as the whole aerodynamic part of the 9X8 had to be remade to make more use of the air circulation over the bodywork than what passes below to the diffuser, reducing the dependance it had on ground effect and forward aero distribution.

The circuit that was included in the DLC was Imola, which joined the FIA WEC calendar in similar way as it was sneaked into the GTWC Europe calendar as a replacement for Monza, though this time it was because the Brianza based circuit is undergoing a major reconstruction and reprofiling. What differentiates Imola’s time in FIA WEC from GTWC Europe is that the Emilia Romagna circuit actually kept a long term commitment with the championship, so it’s set to stay until 2028, which will keep the Le Mans Ultimate version an to date one for quite a long time.

Along with the DLC Pack 1, out of a set of four, the Season Pass was also released, which grants you access to the other DLC once it gets released, which should bring the remaining hypercars and the LMGT3 class as a whole. The game has also undergone a big update under the hood and had a patch since the launch, with the changelog available on the Steam page.
