Since United Autosports entry into the Le Mans Prototype scene, the team’s schedule only grew more and more, as Europe and the United States are in the radar now, but will soon become a place to go again for the Anglo-American team, with a program being confirmed for the next Asian Le Mans Series season.
The Asian LMS program for the 2018/2019 season will count with four prototypes, being spread between the LMP2 and LMP3 classes, with two Ligier JS P2s and two Ligier JS P3s, one of the biggest single team efforts ever brought to the series.
Though this is the first time of United Autosports in the Asian LMS, it is like a return to Asia, though under really different conditions, as the team previously was a regular competitor of the Macau GT Cup, which currently is the FIA GT World Cup.
The driver lineup decisions will come at a later time, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to United Autosports make use of their extensive driver roster to help in the matter, as the new season will start only on November 25th, at Shanghai, in China.
