The latest DLC pack for Automobilista
was released this Friday (6), and can be
considered a homage to what composed the Brazilian touring car scene
and to what still keeps it going as REIZA
Studios
brought the Copa Classic, Copa Fusca,
Copa Uno and the Hot Cars to the
Brazilian Touring Car Classics DLC.
Some of these categories
were pretty popular in the 80s and the 90s like the Hot Cars and due
to the popularity and affordability of the cars, slightly tuned
versions still race in Brazilian soil. The Copa Classic and Copa
Fusca are the competitions that keep them active, with the circuits
of the Rio Grande do Sul state in southern Brazil (Tarumã. Guaporé,
Santa Cruz do Sul and Velopark) as their home ground, with occasional
visits to the Brazil-Uruguay border at Rivera.
The cars
participating in these championships aren't limited to sprint racing
as they join newer machinery in the CGST, the Gaucho Super Touring
Championship (Campeonato Gaúcho de Super Turismo in Brazilian
Portuguese) for races ranging from 2 to 6 hours and they also had some recent history in the regional endurance championship, which is
now part of the Dopamina Endurance Series.
There are many versions of
some vehicles because there isn't exactly a common spec for them, and
due of the hugely personal touch of each car, there are differences
in power, torque and handling of the FIAT Unos, Volkswagen Passats
and Gols, but even though they are pretty close in terms of
performance, so the racing will be good with the AI or online.
Along with the new DLC,
Automobilista has hit version 1.4.8, which covers mainly the AI
behavior, including a new blue flag logic, and solves the DynHUD
issue from recent versions. To see the whole thing, you can check the
version changelog by REIZA Studios.
