If I
already didn’t have enough reasons to buy a good steering wheel as lots of Sim Racing
titles are coming to the public this year, this Monday (16) SRO and iRacing just gave me another one: championships inspired in the Blancpain Sprint and Endurance Series.
With races
expected to take place in the virtual version of some of the circuits present
in the real-life Blancpain GT Series,
and race lengths varying from thirty minutes to three hours, it will mean more
championships in the list of the GT3
machinery fans. The list of cars present in the championship will have the BMW
Z4, Ford GT, McLaren MP4-12C and other manufacturers expected to join the
online simulator in the near future.
For the
longer events, it will be in action a driver swap system, which enables you to
pass the control of the machine during the race to another iRacer, no matter
where the person is.
The new
partnership comes with a special offer for the newcomers: 3 months of
membership comes for $5, using the code PR-SROMG when signing up. iRacing is also available on Steam,
where the user can choose different lengths of subscription, from a monthly one
to a yearly one.
