The BMW Z4 GTE will go to Europe

Since the BMW Z4 GTE program was started in 2013, by the hands of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, replacing the BMW M3 GT2, it never left the United States to race, proving to be able to win races and stay in the top places. But now it’s time to see an overseas program for the Z4 GTE, which will happen in 2015.

The new challenge for the german model will be the 2015 European Le Mans Series season, in the GTE class, by the hands of famous Belgian squad Marc VDS. In fact, Marc VDS raced with Z4 in the European Le Mans Series this season, although the car was a GT3 spec one, in the GTC class, in a winning one-off race at Estoril.

The driver lineup wasn’t confirmed at the moment, but will feature Andy Priaulx as the lead driver. The problem starts here, as the GTE class in ELMS has a Pro-Am categorization, so Priaulx, van der Straten  and company will need one or two amateur drivers in the list.
