One of most
known and respected partnerships in GT racing ends after 2014, as the germans
of HTP Motorsport will drop out
their multi-champion effort of Mercedes
SLS AMG GT3s to race with the Bentley
Continental GT3.
HTP
Motorsport will be known as HTP Team
Bentley, and is expected to field five Bentleys into various competitions,
being them the Blancpain GT Series, ADAC GT Masters, VLN and the Nürburgring 24
Hours.
The Bentley
Continental GT3 made its name in 2014, winning races not only in Europe, in the
Blancpain Endurance Series, as well in North America, in the Pirelli World
Challenge. And with that the customer base of the british car only grew in the
last months, with interested teams coming from Asia and Australia too.
There are
no confirmed lineups for the multiple efforts, but an announcement regarding
that will be made in the near future.
