According
to Sportscar365, Andretti Autosport may be in a close route to enter into Pirelli World Challenge in 2015.
As the team
is open to race in all platforms possible, and given the fact that the United Sportscar Championship program
with the new HPD ARX-04b failed to come to reality, an easier and chaper
solution to re-enter into sportscar racing would be a campaign with one or more
Nissan GT-R GT3s into PWC.
Michael
Andretti would like factory support for him into PWC, but it seems more likely
that a customer program will materialize. If Andretti’s desire realizes, the
Nissan GT-R will return to PWC after being out of the championship for the
whole 2014 season, as CRP Racing’s
Mike Skeen raced a non-GT3 spec GT-R, later replaced by an Audi R8 LMS, making
him end the championship only behind GT class champion Johnny O’Connell.
