After some schedule changes, lack of information and even doubts about the project, the new Lotus P1/01 LMP1 was presented today in Le Mans.
These took the Romanian-flag team out of the first two FIA WEC rounds and Le Mans 24 Hours, leaving Rebellion Racing as the sole LMP1-L contender.
The driver lineup wasn't decided yet, but with drivers like Christijan Albers, Christophe Bouchut, Pierre Kaffer, James Rossiter and Thomas Holzer appearing in the event, whatever lineup formed, it promisses to be a good one.

Unfortunately, the version shown in the french circuit is only for exhibition purposes, but the real deal will come in the next rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The main deal the Lotus Team had was a last minute engine change as the intended Audi V8 engine wasn't even built, so the entire project had to be rebuilt based in the new agreement that Lotus got with AER to run a V6 biturbo, with maybe three or four liters, as well not being approved on crash tests.
