Venue swap and double header confirmed in Endurance Brasil

The Império Endurance Brasil calendar suffered another change for the ongoing 2023 season, as again the already postponed 6 Hours of Interlagos was the point of discussion, with APE, the competition promoter, throwing the towel and writing off the race from the schedule.

The race was set for a late May date, but a blunder from the São Paulo city authorities generated a date clash that forced the race out of its date, which was then confirmed for mid to late July after the recently confirmed round 3 at the Velopark in late June. The postponement then changed status to a cancellation as APE deemed impossible to host the race at Interlagos in the new date, but the championship will keep the same number of remaining races.

The latest change sees Goiânia gain another race in September, with the weekend turned into a double header on the 22nd and 23rd, with the consecutive races having three hours and fours, a move tried at the Interlagos finale last year in order compliment the calendar.

Despite keeping the number of races the same, there is still a void in the calendar to be filled as the penultimate round, set for November, still doesn’t have a confirmed venue, and at the moment no indicative of which circuit would host it was given.

At the moment the remainder of the calendar stays like this:

24 June - Velopark
22-23 September - Goiânia double header
21 October - Cascavel
11 November - To be confirmed
09 December - Interlagos
