2022 calendar confirmed for RallyX Nordic

RallyX Nordic
was one of the first rallycross championships to run and to end in 2021, serving for most as a good warm-up for World RX, Euro RX and Nitro RX, and although the 2022 calendar may look too compressed, it would be enough to bring that first blood in the season.

Compared to 2021, mostly due to the challenges of the current times, RallyX Nordic will offer quite a compressed calendar with eight rounds from May to July, as the idea of double-headers seems to be working well within the paddock. Three venues from 2021 are out, meaning that only Höljes stayed due to its huge tradition.

Talking about Höljes, the World RX venue will open the season in place of Nysum, in Denmark, followed by a two week break and a travel to Finland, to meet again the Tykkimäki complex at Kouvola, also a fan favorite of the drivers and home of some surprises from time to time.

After almost a full month, July will start with another return, as the Bikernieku Trase in Riga, Latvia, will be home of the third double-header, with the season ending two weeks later in mid-July, in a completely new venue for the competition according to their official statement, so the OuluZone and Arvika tracks are expect to not return too.

Along with the new calendar, it’s also confirmed that RX2e will join the support bill, although in a separated class from the Supercar Lites, unlike the Open class that will receive internal combustion cars along electrics. This will mean extra work for Olsbergs MSE, as the Nynäshamn-based team will be involved in three classes in every weekend offering support to their own machines and their customer teams.
