Gehrman set to debut Audi S1 RX at Arvika finale

Johan Kristoffersson isn't the only driver moving away from the Volkswagen Polo GTi RX to drive the Audi S1 RX, as Phillip Gehrman also found one model to serve him for the RallyX Nordic finale, to be held at Arvika, Sweden.

The new machine in the Gehrman Motorsport garage was the option that Gehrman preferred rather than upgrading their current Volkswagen Polo, and the whole deal became a no-brainer after a test that Gehrman did mid-season, with the performance in the S1 beating anything he did in the Polo, so he made the permanent move. Despite the immense capability of the Polo, this season has been plagued with reliability issues, with the Semifinals being usually the limit for Gehrman.

As it's the case with most customers, Gehrman will have the assistance from JC Raceteknik, the main partner from former Audi factory team EKS, which is a welcome addition despite of how busy Joel Christoffersson and Mattias Ekström will be, as the World RX and the Nitro RX are already taking a bunch of their schedule.

The final round of the RallyX Nordic season will be on 15 August, in a single event system that is in fact an oddball of this season.
