Endurance Brasil start gets postponed

The complicated situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil is forcing most of the motorsport championships to take a step back and adjust their plans, and the Império Endurance Brasil recently joined the numbers, as everybody will have to wait a little while for the 2021 season to start.

As per the latest announcement of the organization and the drivers association, the start of the 2021 season will not only move to May, but it will also leave Interlagos to be hosted at Goiânia, with a new round filling the July slot, which was the only month without a race according to the original calendar.

The current situation, with the daily case numbers rising at an alarming rate, is making the authorities over the country take decisions to slow the negative scenario, which is including heavy restrictions on social interaction, people circulation in public areas and open market, while some cities already announced lockdown periods of at least two weeks straight.

With the calendar rearrangements, Império Endurance Brasil will not lose races at an initial moment, but nearly half of the calendar is still with a ’to be confirmed’ regarding the venues, although there’s still some time to finalize the discussions.
