Assetto Corsa Competizione is now on Early Access build 6

KUNOS Simulazioni had to deal with a lot of things before the second early access build release of Assetto Corsa Competizione in 2019, but the version 0.6 of the Blancpain GT Series simulator comes with two new cars, a new track and a big list of improvements.

Somehow, the staff of the Italian studio handled well the delay to release the sixth build, which had initially a change of plans as the Honda NSX GT3 model wasn’t exactly ready to go, so the 2015 and 2018 versions of the Nissan GT-R GT3 took place, while Monza was kept as the track to release. Then things escalated quickly as multiplayer fixes and game optimizations meant that a huge overhaul would be needed, which is why the release went some days off the schedule.

In this new release, there are also new options for the onboard cameras, trackside and an edit mode for the free camera. The graphics adjustment screen has some extra adjustments, which are now separated in basic and advanced settings, and talking about graphics, the HUD now shows the session time and status on top and a radar app appears below, pretty much like the HeliCorsa app for the first Assetto Corsa.

Also, one of the highlights in this release is the possibility of telemetry integration with MoTec software, as you can program your ECU in game to record a given number of laps, then a session file will be generated and that can be opened in the MoTec i2 Pro, in similar way to what was done with the acclaimed GTR2 title more than a decade ago.

With the early access build 6 completing the roadmap, work now goes to deliver a full version of Assetto Corsa Competizione, which will come in the following months. While that, you can look the changelog of the 0.6 version on their Steam page.
