Assetto Corsa Competizione is available now in early access

A new chapter for KUNOS Simulazioni finally took the next step and appeared to a broader public as their new title, Assetto Corsa Competizione, is finally available in an early access program on Steam, starting a roadmap that will last until early to mid 2019.

The idea of the program itself is to let the players bring the feedback of this initial release after demonstrations of their tech demo earlier in the year, not only in game conventions but also during Blancpain GT weekends.

By the way, talking about the Blancpain GT Series, one good thing to point out is that not only the 2018 season will be available on Assetto Corsa Competizione, but also, once the roadmap reaches its end and the game is complete, the 2019 Blancpain GT Series will be available as an update, and those who get ACC in its first release not only will pay less and will receive all updates that will come in, but also will have this second part of the game entirely for free.

The first release of ACC features only a single car, which is the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 with liveries from Grässer Racing, Ombra Racing, Barwell Motorsport and Lazarus Racing, with even the possibility of selecting the driver to go for it, and the modes available now are Practice, Hotlap, Hotstint and Quick Race. Weather and time selection are also available, though dynamic weather will still come later.

Depending of the controls you are using, button assignments may not be available in the Options menu, but the feeling part can be adjusted to your liking, almost in the same parameters that you saw in Assetto Corsa, though for the time being this part can only be adjusted in the main menu as the options during gameplay is disabled.

Unlike AC, in terms of car setup you have now some presets available in ACC, being them safe, aggressive and a wet weather one, but if you’re okay with fiddling with all the bits of the setup you can adjust the parameters by yourself, with some new features compared to AC like ECU Mapping selection. Some parts of the setup even show the impact the changes will have in the car, like the aero adjustments.

As per the roadmap released during the TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa, monthly updates are expected, but as time passes and the game becomes more complete, the price will rise for those who wait, so for now Assetto Corsa Competizione will be for only 24,99 Euros.
