Blancpain GT 2015 calendar revealed

The 2014 season of the Blancpain GT Series ended a while ago, with the Baku World Challenge event in Azerbaijan, but the preparations for 2015 have already started, as the calendar for the next season was announced in Baku.

The 2015 calendar retains the same number of events, as the SRO promoted championship will visit twelve venues, split into the same seven to the Sprint Series and five to the Endurance Series. But some places entered in the calendar as others said goodbye.

In the Sprint Series, Zandvoort and the Slovakia Ring were dropped in favour of a race in the streets of Moscow and the Misano World Circuit. The other change is that  Zolder becomes the third event of the calendar. The proposed brazilian round at Goiânia was not featured.

In the Endurance Series, SRO opted with a "continue with what's good" policy in the calendar, as all five venues were mantained for 2015, in the same order, something that occurs since the 2013 season. The only changes that were made were the change of the 1000 km event, from Nürburgring to Paul Ricard, and the anticipation in one week of the Paul Ricard 1000, to give the teams more able time to prepare to the 24 Hours of Spa.

Here is the Blancpain GT Series calendar:
