Luca & Yves

What do Luca di Montezemolo and Yves Courage have in common? Both of them talked about endurance and Le Mans admiration, and even a possible return.

This week, Endurance-Info's Laurent Mercier done an interview with the founder of Courage Competition, now only a memory on the newer LMP2's chassis and on the fans' heads. Yves was asked about the current LMP1 and LMP2 class situations, as well plans of returning to racetrack.

On what depends of Yves Courage, his return may happen. He told that projects are in discussion or underway, even with a constructor involved, and as he is still considering the possibilities, there's room from GT3 to LMP3.

You can check the whole interview here, but if you don't master French(like me), Motorsport.com has an English adaptation by Rainier Ehrhardt.

Now going to Luca di Montezemolo. After an article published by Luca on the italian newspaper Il Messaggero(in italian), he declared his admiration to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and how good can be to see Ferrari conquer overall victory(remembering that the prancing horse has 9 LM24 titles).

So, where this can lead to?

Rumors are boiling about a possible LMP1 Ferrari entry in Le Mans and even in FIA WEC. What has been giving fuel to these rumors are the presence of Fernando Alonso as the starter of the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans in the coming weekend, as well a press conference from ACO and FIA this Saturday, before the race. If confirmed, it can be for 2015 or 2016.

Both Yves and Luca have plans for the future, but only future can tell if they will see the daylight.
