There were virtually no changes for the Japan Cup next season, with SRO confirming that the same four venues will keep their exact same places in the calendar, keeping the inclusion with other SRO competitions in order to mount a strong support package.
Since the introduction of the Japan Cup in 2024, the exact same venues were selected, with only order and date changes being done every year to better accomodate them, while also keeping the ties with GT World Challenge Asia’s SRO GT Powertour. Sportsland SUGO, Fuji Speedway, Okayama International Circuit and Suzuka Circuit keep this exact same order from 2025, with the major change being brought to SUGO’s double header.
While even the dates weren’t changed in most cases, SUGO will open the 2026 season, a month earlier than this year. The rounds at Fuji and Okayama, in July and August, respectively, will keep their link with GTWC Asia, while the Suzuka finale in September will be held as support event for the IGTC Suzuka 1000km, which was proven a success, given the thriller it offered.
At the moment there were no news regarding which teams will be in the grid next season, so the solid calendar offered will be a starting point for the announcements that will come.
