One of the remaining doubts in the SRO schedule for 2026 was in GT World Challenge Australia, as some gaps weren't filled with the initial announcement, but the confirmation of the season ending weekend concludes the work.
A return to Hampton Downs wasn't confirmed way before the final weekend of the 2025 season, which ended crowning Kelso MPC's Brad Schumacher and Broc Feeney as champions, but in the end, New Zealand will be out of the calendar next season, with the whole season being concentrated in Australian territory again.
The decision was made to include the Adelaide street circuit back in the series after a brief stint in 2022 and 2023, when it hosted the season finale in late November and in early December. By the way, December is where SRO aimed for when setting the deal with Adelaide, as the return of the street circuit will be on 5 and 6 December, even later than the Hampton Downs round held this year.
The other five weekends retain the dates that were initially scheduled, and while including the three hour endurance race at Sydney Motorsport Park, the 2026 GTWC Australia season will be the second in a row without the Bathurst 12 Hour as a points scoring round.
2026 GTWC Australia calendar:
28-29 March - Phillip Island
9-10 May - The Bend
13-14 - Queensland
25-26 July - Hidden Valley
20 September - Sydney Motorsport Park
5-6 December - Adelaide
