2026 Euro RX calendar revealed

2026 will be a year for more rework in the top of the rallycross ladder, and with the FIA World Rallycross Championship on hold for the time being, the FIA European Rallycross Championship becomes the top competition of the pile, with a substantially changed calendar in comparison to the past World RX season.

The number of events in the calendar doesn’t change for 2026, though half of the rounds were moved to new, with the three circuits entering the calendar being returning venues that once hosted either the Euro RX or the World RX,while the remaining three circuits suffered major date changes.

After being present in the RallyX calendar in recent years, the Bikernieki circuit in Riga return to the Euro RX, with the Latvian circuit opening the season in early May after being absent since 2022. Closing the month of May, Nyirád is the first of the circuits that remained in the calendar, as the Red Cauldron is quite a favorite of drivers and fans.

Moving to July, Höljes is the only circuit that retains its date, as the Magic Weekend never leaves the early date in the month, and following the Swedish round, Mondello Park rejoins the calendar in mid July after being absent since 1996, which means that the Irish circuit will host an Euro RX round with supercars for the first time ever, although it does host competitions with supercars as the 5 Nations British RX regularly visits the venue.

Another return to the Euro RX appears in August, with Lohéac being back after being absent for four years, remaining confined in the Rallycross France calendar but being the differential of the competition, as Lohéac usually receives entries from other championships and a bit of Euro RX and World RX talent, which even put 35 cars in the entry list this year, and according to the FFSA announcement, both championships will share the track in the same day, while a joint grid possibility remains unknown as Rallycross France and Euro RX use different tire brands.

Closing the season earlier than this year, Lousada is moved to the final slot of the calendar after being a successful season opener, with the reworked venue offering a great spectacle while also having a great backdrop.

Entries will be announced at a later date, but following Andreas Bakkerud’s confirmation with his own Bergen Motorsport Evolution outfit, AllInkl.com Münnich Motorsport is actively working on an entirely new car while Kristoffersson Motorsport and Ole-Christian Veiby are exploring alternatives while testing the most recent upgrades in the Volkswagen Polo KMS 601 RX.
