With a similar situation to GT World Challenge America regarding grid numbers, GT World Challenge Australia will face some changes in the calendar for 2026, which go from simple date reallocations to venue inclusions and replacements, as announced by SRO during the press conference at Spa-Francorchamps.
Keeping the same number of six double headers for the next season, some of the current circuits were swapped in the order while others were effectively replaced, with the final half of the season having a different face in comparison with 2025.
While the schedule will be opened at Phillip Island, the series will start a month earlier than in 2025, with The Bend trading place with Sydney for the early May round. Queensland is move to mid June, while Hidden Valley is included for the first time in GTWC Australia set for a round in late July. The three hour Syney endurane round appears only in mid to late September, while an unconfirmed round is expected to close the season at an also unconfirmed date, which means that there are no guarantees that the series will repeat the visit to Hampton Downs in New Zealand.
