Münnich Motorsport is preparing their World RX program

Certainly, all those who saw the entry lists for the FIA World Rallycross Championship and FIA Euro RX1 Championship noticed an absent car, driver and team, but don’t worry, AllInkl.com Münnich Motorsport is preparing their effort, but it will require some extra time to prepare it.

During the week where supercars and RX1es were testing at Lousada for Equivalence of Technology and for warm-up purproses, René Münnich and his team were doing their own testing at Nyirád, in Hungary, which will be the host of the third weekend of the 2025 season, and according to the team, they not only gathered three days of data to fine tune their newly built SEAT Ibiza RX, but they also tested many of their supercars in the Red Cauldron, which can go both ways, either just for reference purposes or a multi-car program for the remainder of the World RX and Euro RX1 calendar.

Münnich Motorsport has been trying to bring the best of the SEAT Ibiza RX1e until the 2024 season, but the rushed progress of the electric car held the German team back during the three seasons where it was used, with Timo Scheider showing some glimpses of competitiveness, but with René Münnich being stuck to a wall behind Kristoffersson Motorsport, Hansen World RX Team and CE Dealer Team, considering that with the internal combustion SEAT, Münnich had a win and two podiums in Euro RX1. With the uncertainty regarding the end of the 2024 season, the team eventually skipped the travel to the Istambul RX finale.

For 2025, the efforts go back solely to the internal combustion supercars, which are tried and trusted machines that gave good results for the team, and this would keep things consistent to share data accross multiple cars if the team chooses to do so, like PGRX is doing with an entry in both World RX and Euro RX1.

Münnich Motorsport will undergo extra tests at Höljes in the next days, and while the second round of the World RX calendar is kind of a second home for most drivers and teams, Münnich will get the first person view of a condition closer to what they will face in the Magic Weekend on 5-6 July.
