Although the SRO Motorsports Group has a rich portfolio of series under its umbrella, the company never turns their eyes to any possible partnerships with national and international series that are already established in the market, and now the company led by Stéphane Ratel gave another step into GT racing development in Asia by confirming a joint venture with the Thailand Super Series.
The series exists since 2013, when SRO already had partnerships outside of its portfolio with the ADAC GT Masters under its wing, and during the Thai series life, SRO forged partnerships with British GT, rescued the FFSA GT and restructured as a GT4 series, and SRO currently sets the Balance of Performance of Super GT’s GT300 class, TSS started hosting races in the usual destinations inside Thai territory, like Bira Circuit, Chang International Circuit and the traditional Bangsaen Grand Prix, but then remained with Buriram and Bangsaen, the two highest graded Thai tracks, while hosting occasional rounds outside Thailand, be them at Sepang, in Malaysia, or the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore.
It also featured a mixed bag of supercars in the top class before commiting full time to new and old GT3 machinery, with GT4 spec machinery also gaining a distinct class with GT Cup cars, and these specs will receive SRO’s Balance of Performance, and along with this, TSS parts ways with Hankook and receives Pirelli as its tire supplier, making use of the recently released P ZERO DHG tires.
After the test days held in March at Buriram, the 2025 calendar will be like this:
24-25 May - Buriram I
5-6 July - Bangsaen
9-10 August - Sepang I
20-21 September - Sepang II
1-2 November - Buriram II
