RallyX Nordic getting the 2024 calendar ready

RallyX Nordic
might be heading for the best season ever due to the moves made in the off season, and the 2024 calendar will be a reflection of this desire for growth despite having to fight for territory and attention with the World RX, Euro RX1 and Nitrocross, so it can be hardly called a winter calendar in the way it was confirmed.

For most of the calendar, it will be just date changes, with a more compressed running from May to August but having five double headers, which means 10 rounds instead of 2023’s eight, as the Tierp Are, Nysum and Kouvola stay in the calendar and the Estering is added as a sort of extra regional round like how it was with Riga in previous years, with only a visit to Sweden needing confirmation of the venue to be the host.

Tierp kicks off the season in May while Kouvola comes two weeks later, which brings a test of endurance for the teams and equipment similar to what the 2020 World RX season start was. The Swedish round is still in need of a date, which is probably dependant of the also unconfirmed venue, but independent of the confirmed date, the competition will have a long break until the penultimate double header at Nysum in August and the trip to Germany comes a week later with Estering closing the season in the middle of the European season.

While most of the usual suspects are expected to feature in the Supercar class, at the moment only the return of Team Farén is confirmed, making use of the new platform FC2 from FirstCorner that will reuse the Supercar Lites models converted to match supercar levels of performance at a significantly reduced cost.

2024 RallyX Nordic calendar:

11-12 May - Tierp
25-26 May - Kouvola
TBC - Sweden
3-4 August - Nysum
10-11 August - Estering
