Full sweep at Sebring for Wright Motorsport in GTWC America

Wright Motorsport
relied on their own skill and post race circumstances to do a full sweep at the bumps of Sebring with the No. 45 Porsche 992 GT3R, which ended the sprint section of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America.

The No. 45 Wright Porsche was quick to shut the door and keep the lead in Race 1, and not only Madison Snow did the job of blocking any opportunities to pass from the No. 94 Bimmerworld BMW, but he also opened a decent gap until the pit window to avoid being victim of pressure.

In the Pro-Am Cup, the No. 04 Crowdstrike Mercedes was dominating until the pit window while keeping the No. 120 Wright Porsche behind, but an issue with the right rear tire change delayed it and allowed the No. 120 to go ahead. The No. 04 got delayed even more when the No. 38 ST Racing BMW engaged into battle as Neil Verhagen had clearly more pace than Colin Braun.

While the No. 45 Wright Porsche and the No. 94 Bimmerworld BMW were clear first and second, the No. 28 RS1 Porsche had contact and spun the No. 93 Racers Edge when battling for third, which left big room for the No. 53 MDK to get two places at once, with the race ending with that order. The fights behind the No. 120 Wright Porsche just allowed to open more gap and consolidate the Pro-Am Cup win on track.

Race 2 had the No. 45 Wright Porsche in the front row, but this time on the other side of the road as the No. 33 Triarsi Ferrari was the polesitter. The Pro-Am Cup would usually negotiate position when mixed with the Pro Cup cars, but the pros in these cars weren`t having any reservations on applying pressure in the top class cars, with Elliott Skeer decided to not lose time behind Jan Heylen and put the No. 120 in second overall.

The No. 38 ST Racing BMW got third position some minutes later, and passed the No. 120 for second too before the window, and after that it got the lead during the service while the No. 45 was still in fourth overall and with the Pro Cup lead, having the possibility of closing down and pass those ahead of it by having pace to spare.

While Madison Snow brought the No. 45 Wright Porsche to second by passing the No. 33 Triarsi Ferrari and the sister No. 120 Wright Porsche, it closed down as much as possible but it lacked time to beat the No. 38 ST Racing BMW on track.

Following the post race tech inspection, the No. 38 was deemed non-compliant and lost the overall and Pro-Am Cup wins, with the No. 45 Wright Porsche winning overall and in the Pro Cup while the No. 120 Wright Porsche was crowned the Pro-Am Cup winner from third overall.
