Velopark selected for Endurance Brasil Round 3 slot

As odd as it may seem, we hit halfway into 2023 with the full Império Endurance Brasil calendar still not confirmed, and out of the two vacant spots left, one of them finally has a venue, as Velopark will be host of the June round of the championship.

This June slot set for the 24th would have been the fourth round of the championship, but after a massive blunder from the São Paulo local authorities made it impossible to host the 6 Hours of Interlagos on the original late May date, the race was moved to late July, which would leave a gap of two months without racing, should the void in June not be filled.

The confirmation of the Velopark also disperses the possibility of the Rio Grande do Sul state not hosting any single round of the championship in 2023, considering the fact that the current iteration of Endurance Brasil started based in the state’s endurance championship, the Endurance RS, now known as the Gaúcho de Endurance.

The other vacant slot in the calendar is set for November before the Interlagos finale, but at the moment there are no hints of which venue will host it, if any will do it.
