Valencia included in next Assetto Corsa Competizione DLC

Just a few days left for what will be the first 2023 DLC pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione, and KUNOS Simulazioni just announced a new circuit in between the bunch of cars coming in, as the Circuito Ricardo Tormo in Valencia will be the new entry.

Valencia is the second Spanish circuit in ACC alongside Barcelona, and is the eleventh circuit from the FANATEC GT World Challenge Europe history between former and current venues, and while it doesn’t exactly stands out in the world of sim racing, it’s well known from the MotoGP fanbase due to the presence in its yearly titles, as reflex of the traditional GP de la Comunidad Valenciana. Outside the motorbike action, Valencia is an usual destination for the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series for almost a decade, being the season ending event of the competition.

Curiously, Valencia has some history with SRO that somehow links to sim racing, as one of the last official inclusions of the Spanish circuit was in GTR2, which featured the complete content from the 2003 and 2004 FIA GT Championship seasons, which were promoted by the company led by Stéphane Ratel. Another semi-oficial appearance for the circuit in a sim racing title was in the early stages of the RFactor2 life with ISI, as it was included as an affiliated third party content, like what some manufacturers and competitions do with Assetto Corsa despite official development ceased some years ago.

The Circuito Ricardo Tormo will join the previously confirmed Porsche 911 GT3R (Spec 992), the Ferrari 296 GT3 and the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 in the 2023 GT World Challenge DLC, set for launch on 17 April.
