Motorcar Racing dominates 4 Hours of VeloCitta

With two of the main contenders from the prototype field late for the Império Endurance Brasil party at the VeloCitta, the No. 11 JLM Racing AJR from Motorcar Racing was the star of the show, in special with Renan Guerra crushing the opposition as early as possible, so Emilio Padron and Marcelo Vianna could enjoy the lead for the rest of the race.

Even without the No. 113 JLM AJR in the grid due to paddle shift issues, the model was still topping the pack with a Motorcar Racing 1-2, as the No. 444 was leading the No. 11. The Safety Car had an early start due to the No. 80 Power Imports AJR stopping on track due to engine overheating. Once the green flag was waved again, both prototypes swapped positions, and a few minutes later, the No. 444 left the race with fire in its rear end.

Behind the No. 11, the No. 26 Mottin AJR was busy keeping the No. 2 FTR Sigma at bay despite the pace deficit, opening the gap as the traffic got in front of the leaders. At the end of the first hour, Renan Guerra was with a gigantic gap to the opponents, lapping several seconds faster in the No. 11.

When everything appeared to be on good terms for the Sigma P1, a fire during the pit stop halted their regular stop, meaning that only the No. 26 Mottin AJR was in condition to mount an attack for the overall lead in the second hour, but instead of progressing, the black prototype fell off to third after the halfway point as the GT3 field started taking over the top positions behind the leader, and with an hour and a half to go, the No. 26 was holding the P1 class podium, but it was missing the overall one.

In the final hour, the No. 11 was consolidated in the overall lead, but the GT3s behind it were still in the fight, with the No. 08 AMG CAC Mercedes trying to open some sort of gap before the final stint, while the No. 27 Team RC Mercedes was topping the chasing pack, discounting the gap in the question of minutes and passing easily to first place in the GT3 class.

With no threats within sight of the No. 11 Motorcar AJR, Marcelo Vianna just had to bring it home to see the checkered, while second place stayed with the No. 27 Team RC Mercedes by holding the No. 26 Mottin AJR. The No. 27 was also the GT3 class winner.

4 Hours of VeloCitta - Race results

The next class winner of the list was the No. 155 SulRacing Ferrari, that conquered the GT3 Light class despite early issues, compensating it with less mistakes than the opposition, as the No. 64 Tech Force Aston Martin came home 4 laps later and the returning No. 199 SulRacing Lamborghini was 7 laps down

The first class winner outside the overall top-10 was in GT4 Light, being conquered by the No. 117 Stillux Ginetta, with two cars from the lowest class of the field beating the GT4 winner, the No. 22 AutLog Mercedes. In between them was the P2 class winner, the No. 17 JDavid JL, which also won by superior consistency over the opposition, and the No. 74 LT Team MRX won the P3 class, being the lowest ranked class winner of the field, coming home in 16th overall.
