Klara Andersson joins FIA RX2e competition at Spa-Francorchamps

The Belgian round of the FIA RX2e Championship will have another newcomer, as Swedish ace Klara Andersson will test her skill against international opposition at Spa-Francorchamps.

She doesn't leave Scandinavia to compete since her transition from karting to rallycross, sparked by an RX Academy participation, but Andersson comes with excellent credentials to back her up, as she is the current holder of the Rallycross-SM title in a BMW 120, and further junior titles at home in Sweden just add to the 21 years old driver's resume.

Klara’s second name and sponsorship will certainly catch the eye of the Euro RX fanbase, as she is the younger sister of Magda Andersson, 2016 Euro RX Touring Car runner-up, just behind Ben Philip Gundersen, and Euro RX Supercar driver until 2018, when she decided to retire from the sport, although she still keeps a close watch on the sister's career.

Having tested STARD's ERX spec machinery means Klara is no novice to EVs in rallycross, and her ESports participations with powerhouse team SET ESports, the virtual arm of SET Promotion, runs the GRX/SET RX1 program, certainly give her an idea of a car which pace is pretty close to RX1 levels like the Olsbergs MSE RX2e car.

Klara Andersson has all reasons to dream with a big result, especially after what rookie Dorian Deslandes did at Lohéac, as his first RX2e drive ended with victory by beating former World RX drivers like Guillaume De Ridder, Reinis Nitišs and Deslandes' mentor Cyril Raymond.

The Spa RX and the support classes, Euro RX1, FIA RX2e and Euro RX3, will be held on 10 October.
