Iron Lynx with extra Ferrari for Paul Ricard 1000

Italian squad Iron Lynx jumped into the FANATEC GT World Challenge Europe with heavy Ferrari support, and they will extend this by aligning an extra car, which will also make history while trying to bring a good result.

This extra 488 GT3 Evo will be in action at the upcoming Paul Ricard 1000, and as part of the Iron Dames initiative to bring more women to motorsport, it will feature an all-female lineup, a first for the competition despite the fact that women were present in the GT World Challenge Europe for quite a while.

To face off the competition in the Pro-Am Cup, the car will have Katherine Legge, Sarah Bovy and Doriane Pin onboard, with all three having some degree of GT3 mileage, from newcomer Pin to the hugely experienced Bovy.

Pin and Bovy are coming from the Iron Dames Michelin Le Mans Cup effort, so they have some sort of chemistry in the 488 GT3 Evo, while Legge comes from the FIA WEC GTE program, but it can't be neglected the fact that Legge has 5 years of GT3 experience with different machines like the Lamborghini Huracán GT3, the Acura NSX GT3 and currently the Porsche 911 GT3R.

While Legge and Bovy are into endurance racing for a long time and Pin has already raced at Paul Ricard, only Bovy has previous GT World Challenge Europe mileage because of her entries in the 24 Hours of Spa, so it will be a mutual collaboration process for the trio by not only sharing information on the best ways to navigate around the circuit and to survive the harshness of a six hour endurance race, especially as this year's edition returns to its traditional end of afternoon to late night drive, with the dark hours taking a good chunk of the race time.

The Paul Ricard 1000 will be held on 29 May at 6 P.M. local time, naturally going until midnight.
