MadPanda confirmed in the GTWC Europe Silver Cup

The Silver Cup champion in the FANATEC GT World Challenge Europe is set for a title defense, as MadPanda Motorsport reaffirmed their commitment to the European series.

Things won't change much from what the Argentine team had in 2020 according to their statement, as they keep the Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo in place for the full season, consequently racing in the Sprint and Endurance cups. Only the livery suffered changes, with way more of their characteristic mad panda face splattered all over the car.

At the moment only the Argentine driver Ezequiel Perez Companc is confirmed, but the team also stated that they will test potential candidates later this month, which means that at least two more names will be called.

Last season, Perez Companc was crowned the full season Silver Cup champion having Axcil Jeffries in the lineup for the Sprint Cup races and Patrick Assenheimer in the Endurance Cup, while the third Endurance Cup slot was occupied by multiple names like Romain Monti, Ricardo Sanchez, Juuso Puhakka and Jorge Cabezas Catalán.

The combinations brought a class win at Misano Race 3 along with other two Sprint Cup class podiums and an Endurance Cup class podium.

The 2021 FANATEC GT World Challenge Europe season will start on 16 April at Monza with the traditional three hour Endurance Cup race.
