K-PAX completes Sonoma sweep with another 1-2 finish

And again
K-PAX Racing were simply unstoppable at the FANATEC GT World Challenge America Race 2 at Sonoma, with the No. 3 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo of Andrea Caldarelli and Jordan Pepper having another great run despite a slight misfortune at the start.

The dominant pair of K-PAX Lamborghinis of Saturday saw their Sunday start with a mistake, as the No. 6 car gave a tap in the No. 3, which almost spun at the start/finish line, opening the way for the No. 04 DXDT Mercedes to take the lead and the No. 20 Wright Porsche to get in second while the Pro Cup cars were in chase.

The pro drivers kept the Pro-Am Cup cars in front of the chasing Lamborghinis as pace remained even for practically all the first stint time, and K-PAX called both cars as early as possible to pit while the No. 04 DXDT Mercedes and the No. 20 Wright Porsche were maximizing track time with Colin Braun and Jan Heylen, coming only in the final minute of the pit window.

Being behind wasn’t a hurdle for K-PAX, as the No. 3 Lamborghini was sent back to track in the lead with the No. 6 in second, and while the strategy played a part, their sequences of fast laps did the rest of the job.

With George Kurtz and Fred Poordad not matching the pace of the leading cars, Andrea Caldarelli and Corey Lewis were in a high speed cruise to sweep the weekend, with the No. 3 K-PAX Lamborghini leading the 1-2 by a considerable margin.
