FFF Racing announces IGTC program

Chinese powerhouse team FFF Racing is one of the major forces confirmed for the 2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge season, and they mean serious business with the trio onboard.

The squad led by Fu Songyang and Andrea Caldarelli will go with a single Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo with the No. 63, and made sure to select only the best from the Lamborghini Squadra Corse lineup for this effort.

While the team is partially Chinese, FFF Racing's effort will be about three Italians driving an Italian machine, as team owner Andrea Caldarelli will have the company of Marco Mapelli, ace drivers in the Lamborghini stable as not only FFF Racing but other teams make use of their services, and the return of Mirko Bortolotti, who was revealed by Porsche and is coming back from Audi, but made his name internationally with the bull of Sant'Agata, conquering the GT World Challenge Europe during his first stint with the manufacturer.

FFF Racing is certainly the top team of Lamborghini's customer base, having back to back titles in the GT World Challenge Asia and GT World Challenge Europe. This season was supposed to be their second in IGTC, but COVID-19 restrictions cut short their 2020 program, having only their Pro Cup car at the Bathurst 12 Hour and a pair of entries at the 24 Hours of Spa.

FFF Racing's campaign starts where their effort ended last year, as the 24 Hours of Spa will open the IGTC season on 31 July and 1 August.
