GT racing invades Automobilista 2 along with Nürburgring

After some good months of wait since the announcement, the most popular GT specs finally appear into Automobilista 2, with REIZA Studios including some GT3s and GT4s as well the Porsche Cup, based in the Brazilian series, bringing along the Nürburgring as the new venue.

The GT3 class got a massive rise in popularity and somehow the GT4 class is following in the same wave, mostly because lots of GT based series accept both specs or at least one of them, and the same applies to other sportscar series that have them sharing the track with either prototypes or touring cars, like what’s applied to GT Cup in the United Kingdom, FARA USA and the Império Endurance Brasil, in which the Automobilista 2 content is heavily based.

Despite being orientated towards Império Endurance Brasil, only two GT3s from the sportscar series were included, being them the Mercedes AMG GT3 MY15, used by Mattheis Motorsport, and the Porsche 911 GT3R 991-spec, used by Stuttgart Motorsport from 2017 to 2019. Along the pair is the McLaren 720S GT3, rumored for a long time to land in Brazil to compete.

The GT4 roster is also composed by 3 models, with the only one being present in Império Endurance Brasil being the McLaren 570S GT4, which is in its first year competing in South America thanks to AutLog Racing Team, while the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport and the Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R make company to the British sport machine.

Along with GT3 and GT4, GT Cup is now represented with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, and since it represents the Porsche Império GT3 Cup Brasil, both models used in its series are represented, being them the 991.2-spec car with a 4.0-liter engine and the older 991-spec car with its 3.8-liter engine, and while they have their own sprint races in the Carrera Cup and GT3 Cup, they also race in mixed grids with two drivers per car in the Porsche Cup Endurance Series, with races having up to 500 kilometers of length, which makes the Brazilian series being quite unique in comparison to the other Porsche Cup series around the World.

Along with the cars released, the Nürburgring complex is the newest venue of the roster, with only the GP-strecke being available at the moment, while the Nordschleife will be included soon, being delayed in comparison to the GP-Strecke for final checks from REIZA Studios.

The new content included comes with another massive update covering several areas of the sim, in special force feedback, which can be seen in the changelog released in their Steam page (with an update), and all content is available from the go with no need for purchases.
