Rytkönen will join Ferratum Team at Barcelona RX

One of the sensations of the Kouvola RX double header, Juha Rytkönen will be able to show his skill in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, as Ferratum Team called the fellow countryman to compete at the Barcelona RX, which turned into a double header this week.

The Rallicross-SM champion will be in a Ford Fiesta RX supported by Ferratum, a bit more in line with the gear he used in the Finnish national competition than the Hyundai i20 RX from GRX Set, which Rytkönen used to be second in first Kouvola RX event and do a strong semifinal run in the second one.

Ferratum Team is fielding a single Ford Fiesta RX for former STARD driver Jani Paasonen, with the car engine and its operations set in Finland, which will help in Rytkönen’s first appearance outside Finland, and the driver’s skill will come as a huge helping hand for the team, as Paasonen is a regular points scorer, but he still needs to step up his game to advance to the semifinals.

Rytkönen already tested the car, way before his debut, and while he is modest about his debut in World RX, he expects himself to be in an established position not only in rallycross, but also in the World stage.

With the Barcelona RX becoming a double header to cover for the cancellation of the Montalegre RX, Rytkönen will have an extra opportunity to show his talent, with the Spanish event being held on 17 and 18 October.
