Around the World with the Intercontinental GT Pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione

February finally came, the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour was left behind with their kangaroos and other things and KUNOS Simulazioni acted immediately to capitalize in the Intercontinental GT Challenge hype, releasing the Intercontinental GT Pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione last Tuesday (04).

The first DLC pack in Assetto Corsa Competizione’s short history features the IGTC itself, four new laser-sanned circuits, a bunch of liveries and new endurance race modes to reflect the most grueling series in the SRO roster.

Bathurst, Laguna Seca, Suzuka and Kyalami are the tracks included, representing their respective events in the 2019 IGTC calendar, the Bathurst 12 Hour, the California 8 Hours, the Suzuka 10 Hours and the season-ending Kyalami 9 Hours. While all tracks in the pack, along with Spa-Francorchamps, are high profile ones with loads of history, only three of these long distance races are traditional ones, with the California 8 Hours being the way to put IGTC in North America, and the Suzuka 10 Hours marking a new chapter in Japanese motorsport, replacing the historical Suzuka 1000 km event.

Despite having their own modes, they are interchangeable between the tracks in the single event mode, so you’re to race the Suzuka 10 Hours entries at Laguna Seca, for example, and if none of these combinations suit you, you can simply go with other custom options.

In terms of entries available, the roster is still limited to the GT3 cars present in ACC, so oddities like GT4s, Invitationals, GT Cup, Mother Chassis and such aren’t in the pack or even in the plans for KUNOS Simulazioni, and in fact, only the entries selected to score points for IGTC were brought in this pack, which explains why other GT3 liveries are missed. The entry count for each race in the Intercontinental GT Pack is as follows:

Bathurst 12 Hour - 22 entries
California 8 Hours - 15 entries
Suzuka 10 Hours - 29 entries
Kyalami 9 Hours - 24 entries

Also, the tracks themselves can handle much more entries, as especially you’ll think on the multiplayer aspect many more players will join in.

Along with the Intercontinental GT Pack came the version 1.3 update, which brings revisions to the HUD, starting procedure, setups, BoP, multiplayer and other points, and following the tradition of huge changelogs, if you want to read the whole thing it is ACC’s Steam page.
