Lydden Hill Circuit released for DiRT Rally 2.0

Lydden Hill is most of a ball of the curve in the DiRT Rally 2.0 track roster, considering the circuit wasn’t in the 2018 and 2019 calendars of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, but being rallycross history in itself, this should be more than a reason for Codemasters to include it in their latest DiRT game.

It was at Lydden Hill that a thing that was made to be a television program took form of a motorsport discipline and evolved to the point where World RX is at now, even though the historical RX home held its last World RX round in 2017, at the boiling point of the manufacturer effort era, and then Silverstone took the British round slot. It isn’t like Lydden Hill is empty though, with other national and regional rallycross championships covering the schedule during the year.

As for the circuit, the fantastic part about Lydden Hill is about its simplicity, letting you go through most of the lap on your toes at high speed, from the open Turn 1 on gravel where the apex is done sideways, you jump into the Devil’s Elbow, a mid-range corner where a good overtake is influenced by your initial launch.

The North bend is the slowest of the circuit and where most of the door banging happens, only to go to Paddock Hill sideways to not lose speed in the finish line. Most of the track offers overtake points through brake challenges, so being brave is really appreciated.

As it is the case with every DiRT Rally 2.0 DLC, this one can be acquired with the Season Pass and as an individual item for all platforms.
