Projekt E has a calendar and the first team

The weekend saw good things happening in the Projekt E camp, as the innovative electric rallycross series finally has a calendar sketch and had the announcement of the first squad that will put their hands in the STARD Fiesta ELECTRX.

Given the original idea behind Projekt E was to showcase electric racing during the World RX events, its five venues are expected to be in the worldwide competition’s radar, Though only four of them are confirmed in the initial schedule released.

The debut season will start at Spa-Francorchamps and then go north to Hell, while the third round is still undefined, though it is expected to be hold mid-July. The series will be part of the Nürburgring’s rallycross debut and then will return to where everything started, as Riga, where the STARD Fiesta ELECTRX turned its first public laps, will be the season finale.

With a more clear development, Projekt E also announced the first squad that is joining in, which is Holten Motorsport, which has a clear interest in the development of electric cars for road and racing. The Holten name isn’t no stranger to the World RX scene, as Daniel Holten has a long time career in the sport and competed in the first two seasons in sporadic events to then commit to Euro RX.

For the moment there’s no information about what size will Holten Motorsport’s program will have, and who will be driving for the team.
