XITE Mini Cooper SX1 will be included in DiRT Rally 2.0

The inclusion of the 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship season in DiRT Rally 2.0 caused some surprise but also opened some possibilities, and a late arrival was confirmed by Codemasters as Oliver Bennet’s Mini Cooper SX1 will be included in the title.

Considering that the British car is set to arrive in the virtual world in January 14th, it will be part of the Week 9 of DLCs, coming along the 2019-spec Peugeot 208 WRX and the STARD Fiesta ST RX.

XITE Racing was already represented in DIRT Rally 2.0 by Bennet’s Ford Fiesta ST RX Mk 7, which was used this year in real life World RX by Olympic ace Christopher Hoy, and mostly judging by this fact, only the 2019 version of the Mini will be part of the DLC, which had its announcement delayed as final details were discussed.

Despite being a regular point scorer since the car’s introduction in 2018, the Mini Cooper SX1 only made its way into the semifinals at Silverstone this year, where a fire unfortunately ended Bennett's quest. The pace is there as demonstrated in some moments, be them in World RX or in the wildcard appearances in ARX, but constant reliability issues tend to plague the car.

The Season 3 of DLC for DIRT Rally 2.0 comes on August 27th, extending until November 5th, while Season 4 will be released on November 19th and will see its final contents being released on January 28th 2020. Both packs can be acquired separately or as a bundle, and the more specific fans can get individual cars too.
