Linnemann puts Honda Civic into World RX at Höljes

It’s always refreshing to see something new come to play in rallycross, and after some national action, the Honda Civic RX prepared by Olsbergs MSE will make its debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, having Danish driver Ulrik Linnemann on it at Höljes RX.

The Honda Civic RX had quite a big program in the United States recently, but since the abrupt end of the Global Rallycross Championship, Olsbergs MSE opted to focus its attention in Europe, taking some of the knowledge gained in the Civic and putting it in the Ford Fiesta ST RX Mk 8, the newest version of the Swedish-prepared American rallycross supercar. While that, Linnemann keeps one Civic RX running in RallyX Nordic in Scandinavia while Oliver Eriksson runs the other one, and this model will be the one in use for the World RX adventure of the Danish driver.

In fact, joining the World RX was an idea from Mr. Olsbergs, Andreas Eriksson, who wanted Linnemann to showcase the Civic RX capabilities in the World stage, as the Japanese coupé is also an option from the Swedish constructor for customers interested in the supercar spec.

But the Civic RX isn’t the only thing Olsbergs MSE will bring in their return to World RX at home. A pair of Fiestas will join in with Kevin and Sebastian Eriksson doing the driving, in what is a similar effort compared to their last participation in 2018, though now they don’t have the presence of Robin Larsson, who joined JC Raceteknik for campaigns in RallyX Nordic and the Euro RX.

The Höljes RX will be held on July 6th, with a bumper grid confirmed as 25 entries are confirmed between World RX regulars and a good number of wildcards.
