Riga and Estering featured in DiRT Rally 2.0 DLC Season 2

The second season of DLC content for DiRT Rally 2.0 would leave rallycross fans quite happy, with a good part of it dedicated to the discipline, with modern and classic content set to cater new and old fans who play the Codemasters game.

As it was the case with the rally oriented Season 1, the Season 2 will not be released at once, with content being released every two weeks from June to August, and while new tracks were already predicted and even confirmed by Codemasters, the classic Group B rallycross cars, a thing coming from DiRT 4, will make a debut in the more hardcore environment of DiRT Rally 2.0.

As for the tracks, the Bikernieki complex at Riga, Latvia, and Estering, at Buxtehude, Germany, will be the ones to be released, in fact debuting in the sim racing world as official content. Bikernieki is still part of the real FIA World Rallycross Championship calendar, but Estering saw its contract with the competition being terminated after the 2018 season, following the example of Montalegre, with both being part of DiRT Rally 2.0.

Estering is a proper classic in World RX, having a final being decided by fractions of a second, and also because of the outrageous outside overtake that Olsbergs boy Kevin Eriksson did in 2016 final, which gave him the win that day.

Bikernieki on the other way is a new venue in the World RX circle, though having Reinis Nitiss winning the 2018 Euro RX title in front of his home crowd is one of the biggest moments of the Latvia RX. Even though Euro RX isn’t complete in DiRT Rally 2.0, you can recreate part of the experience as Nitiss’ title winning Ford Fiesta ST RX is in the game.

The Group B monsters found in rallycross a home after the rally downfall in the late 80s and early 90s, and part of this Division 2 glory will be in form of the Peugeot 205 T16, Lancia Delta S4 and the Metro 6R4.

Rally content will be present on Season 2, though it won’t be as prominent as Season 1, with the Porsche 911 SC RS, the Ford RS200 Evo, the Lancia 037 and the Wales Rally and its forest roads being spread through June and July.

The DLC Season 2 will be released on June 4th as the 205 T16 RX and the RS200 Evo being the first cars to appear.
